in the maternity ward

so the other day i was at the library (no, this will not evolve into a joke for all you poeple expecting it to happen...), and i was reading the straits times, and i came across this article about the North Korean Nuclear crisis that this freelance writer penned down. personally, i thought it was brilliant. it was a fresh perspective admist all the reports and ground information we all knew and read about. so this is what the writer says.

firstly, this writer poses the question as to why the americans are so interested and persistent in their investigations and probings into North Korea. he then goes on to answer (and this is also his main arguement), that the allowance of a north korean nuclear programme will only spark off one thing in the pacific region- an arms race. an arms race involving china, japan and south korea.
then he goes on to say that taiwan would want their nuclear programme (which was shut down by the US) back, stating examples from India and pakistan.
in naval matters, the US plans to transfer one of her atlantic aircraft carrier fleets to the pacific because of this issue.

as you can see, this issue is quite serious. that, and i am bored.
