my predictions

18/6/2010
today, at around 4pm, a boy was killed by a car accident in the carpark of Thomson Plaza Shopping centre. The boy, Adam J, was 9 years of age and was attending a well known Primary school. He died due to a severe head concussion when he was hit by a white E class Mercedes car.
what was interesting to note was how it happened. Adam and his mum had just completed their grocery shopping and he was pushing the trolley back to the car in the carpark. as it was a sunday, the carpark was mostly full and carpack space was scarce. thus, when 2 cars spotted a space, the both of them immediately rushed to get it. in the process, one of the cars, a white mercedes, hit adam at 30km/hr, killing the boy immediately.
when asked why he was going at 30km/hr in a carpark, the driver replied, " i had too, the other guy was going to beat me to the space, cannot lose to him."
the ministry is finally looking seriously into the "kiasuism" of Singaporeans before such an incident happens again.

Singapore mourns as one of her best atheles has fallen, and no, not in a competition (although that has happened), but off a building. the well known and very popular table tennis player took her life, committed suicide, at about 7pm the previous night. she jumped off a 12 storey building.
analyst and close friends and relatives say that she took her life due to the immense pressure to end the 50 year drought of medals in the Olyimpics. Singapore had last won a medal in the 1960s and the whole nation's hopes was resting on her shoulders in this year's Olympics.
However, she failed to get a medal and was widely critisized.
a lack of diversification and specialisation in Singapore's sports has caused this , says analyst.
friends and family say she's a hero, critics say she's a failure.
i think she's a tragedy.

a time gone by

i dreamed a dream in time gone by
where hope was high and life worth living
i dreamed that love would never die
i dreamed that God would be forgiving

but the tigers come at night
with their voices soft as thunder
where they tear your hopes apart
where they turn your dreams to shame

one day more
another day another destiny
this never ending road to Calvary

one day more before the storm
at the barricades of freedome
when our ranks begin to form
will you take your place with me

tomorrow we'll discover what
our God in heaven has in store
one more dawn
one more day
one day more.
