vivo

VIVO CITY is seriously quite an awesome shapping mall.

1) It's big.
2) All the big fashion labels like ax, chomel, zara, espirit, nautica etc etc are there.
3) There's a giant supermarket...as in Giant the brand, though it is incredibly big...you get it.
4) The whole of the 2nd floor seems like it's catered for women.
5) There's a great view of the sea and sentosa, alongside some al-fresco dining...though the haze now ruins the picture quite a bit.

solskjaer

the straits times finally ran (get this) A ONE FULL PAGE ARTICLE ON

OLE GUNNER SOLSKJAER!!!

finally he gets recognition.

Gotheborg

Swedish ship Gotheborg arriving in Singapore on Dec 30!

ok for everyone who knows me, i'm sure you all know how huge a ship junkie i am. big ships, small ships, submarines, aircraft carriers etc etc. so anyway, this swedish historical ship is coming to singapore at the end of the year!

disclaimer: i use this word a lot...why?
disclaimer 2: this is possibly the most exciting thing to happen in my 'present day yet always wishing it was the 18th century' life.

She sets sail for Singapore from Hong Kong on December 10.

The journey will take 3 weeks and the public can look forward to touring the Gotheburg when it is docked at Harbourfront in the first two weeks of January next year.

There will also be a series of Swedish exhibitions in Singapore during the next few months to commemorate the Gotheborg's arrival.

whoohoo! any takers?

in the maternity ward

so the other day i was at the library (no, this will not evolve into a joke for all you poeple expecting it to happen...), and i was reading the straits times, and i came across this article about the North Korean Nuclear crisis that this freelance writer penned down. personally, i thought it was brilliant. it was a fresh perspective admist all the reports and ground information we all knew and read about. so this is what the writer says.

firstly, this writer poses the question as to why the americans are so interested and persistent in their investigations and probings into North Korea. he then goes on to answer (and this is also his main arguement), that the allowance of a north korean nuclear programme will only spark off one thing in the pacific region- an arms race. an arms race involving china, japan and south korea.
then he goes on to say that taiwan would want their nuclear programme (which was shut down by the US) back, stating examples from India and pakistan.
in naval matters, the US plans to transfer one of her atlantic aircraft carrier fleets to the pacific because of this issue.

as you can see, this issue is quite serious. that, and i am bored.

gym class heroes

i know what kelvin must be thinking right now..."how come shane is making another entry on the same day again?!??! trying to piss me off right?!??!" haha ok joking.
here's a song recommended to me by Sarah...she wasn't kidding when she said the lyrics were really cute. check it out..and see how many bands you can find in the lyrics haha...enjoy!

Gym Class Heroes- Taxi Driver(title of song)

I took cutie for a ride in my deathcab
She tipped me with a kiss I dropped her off at the meth lab
Before she left she made a dashboard confessional
And spilled her guts in cursive but whats worse is
I could still see her bright eyes like sunny day real estate
Oh my and in a funny way it irritates
So high but no chance
My little chemical romance left a bad taste in my mouth
But I imposed her like hey mercedes why the long face
Why you cryin? theres no need
Just put on this coheed and fallout
Boy meets girl jimmy eat world
But Schlep eats pills till hes all out
Not once not twice she was thrice times a ladyMackin on brand new, but I had to
Bounce over to the postal service to
Pick up these pills that take care of my nervousness
And all the way I saw planes that were mistooken for stars
She played games but she took em too far
At the drive in
Watching soft porn and you can tell
By the trail of the dead, that there was somethin in the popcorn
I hop in my cab destination midtown
Just to get up with some kids that like to get down
I'd made my rounds and that was that
In between the frowns and scraps and heart attacks
And I remember I seen her ass in early november
On a thursday taking back sunday for a refund
She shot a wink like no hard feelings
Then she jetted to brazil man them pills had me spun
This is the story of the year right here
This is hot water music
Put ya ramen into it

most retarded conversation on saturday:

me: hey you all know about this place right? it's like some shop where they let you rent out the spaces and you can put anything you wanna sell in there and the staff will sell it for you.

kelvin: oh then why not we rent the space, put nothing in there, leave it absolutely empty and then rent out the space!

video killed the radio star

sweet dreams are made of these

hello little girls and boys. today, i have a simple message for all of you. A message that you young ones must remember for the rest of your lives, and hold it deep in your heart.

radio is evil.

it's cool and all to listen to it while you're driving, cuz it sort of like provides a source of entertainment to an otherwise, really boring journey or a long jam etc etc. it's also cool when you listen to it for news updates or weather reports (what's with the haze man) or traffic reports.

BUT, what isn't cool is the choice of songs they nowadays put on radio. come on man, leave the alternative and indie music away from mainstream. there's a reason why they're called ALTERNATIVE!!!! mainstream shit is drowning them away. so, radio, please leave death cab, snow patrol, dashboard, tbs and the likes alone. POPULAR MUSIC- this is when britney and company take centre stage. their place is on the radio.

anyway, this week has been rather good. what seemed to be a really really packed week turned out fine after all. God has been great! i realise one thing this week, which is even if i don't ask God for something good, He still gives it to me. it's like my mind hasn't even comprehended the need for that something, but i still receive it, and then only after do the screws in my mind start to turn and figure out the mentioned possibly.
for example, during the criminal procedure code quiz, God chose the question for me to answer, the perfect time to answer it (which was the turning point) and the wisdom for me to answer it, and it was over before i knew what was going on! God truly wokrs in wonderful and mysterious ways. praise be to Him, the Lord on High.

finally, the end is in sight. 3 months more, and the oct course would be over. finally, i can smell the scent of POP. soon will come attachment, and then OBS, and then POP!!! AHH!! i really pray that i can get into where i wanna go. but these 2 years have taught me that i not always know what's best for me, and God may place me in some other department other that the one that i want, yet i know that that will then be the best for me.

the haze is really bad.

if you wanna be somebody else, change your mind

leprechauns attacking

hey everyone!!
the class outing photos are (finally) up!! The website is as such and all you have to do is click on the link as provided below. Then a new window will open and take you on a technologically magical journey that ends at the bottom of the rainbow. Only this time, there won't be a chest of coins at the bottom, as most leprechauns may profess as concluded in the recent magic creatures conference ( in which a new draft was also effected stating that unicorns no longer can fly without a licence), but there will be photos! 72 in total! yay! *Thai commercial for cheers beer music plays in the background*

disclaimer: the whole world celebrates!!!! (:
